You should have arrived here from the awesome Jaycee Gasper's blog. His creations never cease to inspire me!
Clean and simple was my mindset for this card. I covered a piece of white cardstock with the darker blue washi tape from this release. Using the Decorative Enamel Die Set, I cut 2 from the covered card stock. I also cut 2 from yellow cardstock. After adhering the 2 outline die cuts onto my card front, I inlaid the yellow pieces into the outline. This reminds me of putting a puzzle together and is very relaxing for me. I covered another piece of white cardstock with the washi tape and then embossed it with an embossing folder. The sentiment is from the Enamel Flowers Stamp set.
My next sample uses the Wild Geranium Layering Stamp Set. There is a die set to match this stamp set, but I did not use it for this card.
After stamping my images and my sentiment, I embossed the card front with the Organic Linen embossing folder. I left my stamps in the MISTI and stamped another card front in the same way. I then cut a frame from the second stamped piece and adhered it to the embossed piece with foam tape. A few black jewels finsih this card.
That's it for me. Your next stop is Michelle Short-cardgrotto.com. Happy Stamping!

Tabletop Scraps

A new year always starts with me trying to get organized. I have been trying to fliter through my unused card parts but NEED to stop occasionally to create. This card came together quickly this morning and I have someone in mind to send it to.
I used the Just Leaves die set from Altenew and the Organic Linen embossing folder from Altenew. The die is from the Friendly Florals set by Concord & 9th and yhe sentiment is from Tonic Studios. It is always nice when you can combine different sets and companies for a unique look! Well, that's all for now, back to organizing! Happy Stamping!

Altenew Extraordinary Embellishment Blog Hop

Today,I am participating in a blog hop by Altenew. The craft industry has many outstanding companies with wonderful products! Altenew is by far, one of my favorites! The Foiled Marble Washi Tape is a great addition to any one's crafting stash.
I used the tape to cover my cardstock and then used the Layered Cityscape Cover Die B to cut my card front. I ink blended a light gray piece of cardstock to look like a cloudy sky, then stamped a few gold stars and a gold greeting. To make my greeting stand out a little, I outlined it in black with one of the Altenew Fineliner pens.
I covered another piece of cardstock with the Foiled Marcle Washi Tape. I then paired it with a piece of black cardstock textured with the Organic Linen 3D Embossing Folder. My sentiment was cut from another piece of covered cardstock and backed with gold foil for accent. A thin srip of gold also was added to the front. I really like this and think a set of these with different sentiments wouls make a great gift.
Giveaway Prizes! $300 in total prizes! To celebrate this special blog hop, Altenew is giving away a $50 gift certificate to 2 lucky winners and a $25 gift certificate to 8 winners! It’s Been Awhile

Hello friends! It has been awhile since my last post! I have not stopped creating, just slowed down in posting! Life just seemed to get in the way. As a family, we have had a lot going on. But I have been in the mood to make Christmas cards and have a few to share.

I chose non traditional colors for these cards but like them both. The pink card uses a technique from the recent online class from J. McGuire and K. Werner. It really didn’t take long to make and I am pleased with the result.  The blue card used a new to me embossing folder that I picked up on clearance from a local box store. Again, I am pleased with the result.  Below are close ups for you.

Blue seems to be my color choice for the season as the following cards indicate. Some products I used may no longer be available, so I won’t go into detailed instructions.  Both were easy and fun to create.

That’s it for now. Happy Stamping!

Altenew Inspiration Challenge

I am participating in the Altenew September Inspiration Challenge.  The background was achieved by combining dry embossing, die cutting and ink blending.  Also a few jewels were added for a tiny bit of bling.

Below is a closer look of the stamped images. These were ink blended and then stamped.

Happy Stamping!

Altenew Pair-A-Flower

It has been awhile since my last post but life happens. I have been crafting some but not posting my projects.  Both of these cards have been finished for some time but just not shared. I have a long way to go with watercolors but do enjoy the learning process. I hope you do too!

I really like the way my background turned out on this card. I used a little masking to get my bouquet of 3.

This card has a tiny bit of shimmer to it and try as I might, I could not capture it as I wanted.  I hope to increase my skills with water coloring this winter!
Happy Stamping!

Altenew-Make It Masculine

Hi friends! Altenew Certified Educators are joining a fun Instagram hop and the theme is "Make It Masculine" showing off projects for the men in your life.  The hop starts from @altenewllc, so make sure you start from the beginning. Altenew is giving away a $20 gift certificate to 5 lucky winners! For a chance to win, please follow @altenewllc and vickie.davis77 and leave a comment by 09/01/2022.

Altenew will draw 5 random winners from the comments left on each stop of this Instagram hop and announce the winners on Altenew's Educator Instagram hop post on 09/02/2022.

Even though I prefer floral cards, I do have a need for the occasional masculine card. I have several samples to share with you today,

I started this card by ink blending Galactic Stream, Orange Cream and Just Green inks onto a piece of white cardstock.  After this was completed, I dry embossed the piece using the Organic Linen Embossing Folder.  Using a finger dauber, I inked various areas with Versa Mark Embossing Ink, applied Rose Gold Embossing Powder and heat set it.  I cut this piece down to leave a space for my partial sentiment and heat embossed this on my card front using the same embossing powder.  My card is made from the Spicy Yogurt card stock.  This is a card stock everyone should try!  I cut the Happy Die once from some brushed gold cardstock and twice from white card stock.  These were glued together for dimension and then attached to my card front.  A bow and brad from my stash were also added.

Below is a card I made awhile back using leftover pieces that I die cut from aluminum foil colored with alcohol markers.  I also used the same die to dry emboss on the card.  This is an easy fun fold card.  The design is very adaptable to a variety of stamps and ideas.

I used the Fine Frames Diamond Die Set for my die cuts and embossing. The Happy Birthday is from the Birthday Greetings set.  I colored the letters with the same alcohol markers to match my die cuts.  The inside greeting is from the Just A Number Stamp Set.

Lastly, I created a card to resemble metal. At least, that is what it reminds me of.  This card is a mini slim line size, perfect for a regular envelope.

After adhering aluminum foil to cardstock, I dry embossed the piece using the Illusion Triangles 3D Embossing Folder.  Even though it was hard to capture in the photos, I ran a black ink pad over the embossed piece to give it a slightly distressed look.  I attached this to my card front, added a black frame and my die cuts.  I used the Bold Greetings Die Set for my Hello.

I used black cardstock with a tiny bit of shine for my die cuts.  I think guys need a tiny bit of bling!

HAPPY STAMPING!
